my stay at villa hortensia exceeded expectations during my solo trip to tallinn. the fantastic location in the center of the old town, above a cute chocolate cafe, made exploring super easy. the room was quirky and clean, with a kitchenette that added a cozy touch.

the wifi connection was quite slow.

    courtyard cafe

This was just a suitable option for a short visit in Tallinn and offered good value. The charming courtyard cafe made for a nice spot to relax with coffee. If you're big on comfort, reconsider your choice.

    central location
    slow wifi

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Tallinn's Old Town above a charming chocolate cafe, making it incredibly easy to explore the area.

The WiFi was quite slow, which was frustrating when trying to work in the evenings.

    historic building
    charming courtyard
    inconsistent wi-fi
    check-in inconvenience
    luggage handling

Staying in a lovely historic building provided an enjoyable experience, particularly the pleasant upstairs loft with its cozy bed and window. The cafe in the charming courtyard offered a delightful atmosphere with great coffee and artisan treats. However, check-in procedures seemed a bit untraditional, and leaving luggage in the adjacent jewelry studio felt slightly inconvenient. Wi-Fi access was inconsistent during my stay, which was frustrating.

    10/10

OMG, the vibe was so cute! I loved chillin' in my cozy room with a little balcony, like, perfect for evening teas while listening to jazz from the café below. And the owner's super nice, totally felt at home. Just watch out for the steep stairs after a few drinks, haha!

Cute historic building in a prime spot, very quiet, and the courtyard is lovely. Felt amazing staying in a piece of history as a family with kids.

    clean room
    charming location
    kitchen setup
    steep stairs

The location was perfect for our family of six, nestled in a charming corner by a dessert cafe. Our room was clean and the kitchen setup was great for breakfasts, letting us enjoy lazy mornings together. The quaint surroundings added a lovely touch to our trip.

In my wife’s opinion, the steep stairs were a bit challenging with our little ones.

    comfy features
    loft bed
    unique bathroom
    spotty wi-fi
    steep stairs

The Suite, Annex was super comfy with its quirky features, like the wood stove and the loft bed. Climbing those stairs to the bedroom upstairs was a bit of a workout, but totally worth it. The bathroom inside the old fireplace was such a unique touch! Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was spotty at times.
